The 2024 Terra State Men’s Soccer season was a year of firsts—first wins, first records, and the first step toward building a competitive program. Under the leadership of Head Coach Andrew Chwalik, the team tackled the challenges of starting fresh and emerged stronger, setting multiple program records along the way. Despite a small roster and a tough schedule, the Titans demonstrated resilience, passion, and an unwavering commitment to growth. With a core group of returning players and a promising recruiting class, the foundation has been laid for an exciting 2025 season.

Though this was a rebuilding year, the Titans made their mark on the program’s history by breaking multiple Terra State recordsLuke Avers set the record for Most Saves in a Single GameConnor Hauger broke the record for Most Goals in a Single SeasonBrandon Lusane secured Most Assists in a Single Season, and Ethan Barlage recorded Most Consecutive Games with a Goal. These individual performances highlight the determination and talent within the squad, showcasing the potential that will only grow in future seasons.

Head Coach Andrew Chwalik summed up the season with a perspective that speaks to the heart of the program’s journey: “My first season at the helm of the Terra State Men’s Soccer Program was certainly a roller coaster of a ride, but one I thoroughly enjoyed. Rebuilding any athletic program from scratch is a challenge. What makes it easier is having a great group of players to build that foundation on. I can wholeheartedly say we have that at Terra State.

We all knew it would be a difficult year with a small roster, but kudos to my players—they fought hard in every single game, no matter the score. One of the perks of starting with an empty roster is that we’ll be returning nearly all of our players from last season. Combine that with a strong recruiting class, and we’ll be in for a fun 2025 season. I need to extend a huge thank you to our Athletic Director and my team for believing in my vision. This past season was just the beginning of more great things to come for soccer at Terra State!”

While the 2024 season presented challenges, it also laid the groundwork for future success. With most of the squad returning and new recruits on the way, the Titans are poised for a breakthrough year. Looking ahead, the program is focused on expanding the roster to increase depth and competitiveness, building on team chemistry to strengthen on-field performances, and creating a winning culture through dedication, discipline, and community engagement. With the lessons learned and records broken in 2024, the Terra State Titans are ready to take the next step in 2025.

Thank you to the players, coaching staff, athletic department, and fans who supported the program in its rebuilding year. The journey is just beginning, and the best is yet to come.
