The Terra State Community College men’s basketball team wrapped up their season with an overall record of 8-15, capping off a year defined by growth, perseverance, and the emergence of promising young talent. While the final record doesn’t fully reflect the heart and hustle of the team, this season laid a strong foundation for the future of Terra State basketball.
Leading the charge was freshman Brian Sullivan, who quickly became a standout star in his first year. Averaging an impressive 22 points per game, Sullivan’s offensive prowess made waves across the conference. His efforts earned him All-League honors, making him the only freshman to receive such recognition in the OCCAC this season. Sullivan’s impact extended beyond the league as he was also named to the All-Region team—a prestigious accolade rarely earned by a freshman.
Another key contributor was freshman Wendell Henry, who dominated the boards with an average of 9 rebounds per game while also contributing 14 points per game, making him the team’s second leading scorer. His strength and consistency in the paint provided a solid foundation on both ends of the court.
Kalon Butler, a freshman, and Liam Gopalarishna, a returning sophomore, both played vital roles in the team’s offense, each averaging 11 points per game and regularly stepping up in critical moments throughout the season.
While the season had its ups and downs, the team’s competitive spirit never wavered. The development of this young squad and the leadership shown by both freshmen and sophomores alike point to a bright future for Terra State men’s basketball. With a strong freshman class already making a name for themselves, fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about what’s ahead.
We are proud of our team and thankful for the support from our campus community. Go Titans!
