The Titans Baseball team has been hot lately and a lot of that has to do with the performance of Mason Johnson. Johnson has been chosen as PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD for the 3rd time in the past 5 weeks while also collecting NJCAA National Player of the Week as well. During this streak, Mason has continued his outstanding hitting.

March 18 – OCCAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Mason Johnson was directly responsible for 29 runs – driving in 20 and scoring 9 himself in 7 games for the Titans. Mason compiled 15 hits in 22 AB’s (.682), highlighted by 3 doubles, a triple and 4 homeruns.

April 1 – OCCAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Mason continued his prowess at the plate posting an absurd OPS of 2.987, going 10-13, providing 3 doubles, 5 homeruns, and 12 RBI’s in 4 games. He recorded multiple hits, runs and RBI’s in all 4 contests while also smacking at least one bomb in each game.

April 2 – Mason was selected as the NJCAA NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK.

April 14 – OCCAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Mason earns his 3rd award going 13-22 (.591) with 3 doubles, a triple, 1 HR and 15 RBI’s while coming around to score himself 9 times. He is a consistent menace, registering 5 multi-hit games and driving in at least one run in 6 of 7 contests.
